Benedictine High School Announces New Trustees for 2025-2026 Academic Year 

[Cleveland, OH] – Benedictine High School is proud to announce the appointment of three new members to the Board of Trustees for the 2025-2026 academic year. Joining the thirteen current trustees are Mr. Joe Rosalina ’91, Mr. Harry McDonald, and Mr. David Corvi. 

 

Board Chairman, Joe Sweeney ’98, states, “Our newest trustees, Joe, Harry, and David bring exceptional talent, integrity, and a shared commitment to our mission of educating students in mind, body, and spirit. As we approach our 100-year milestone in just one year, their leadership will help guide us into our next century of excellence.” 

 

Mr. Rosalina, a 1991 Benedictine High School graduate, is the managing partner of Russo, Rosalina & Co., LPA, a family law firm that specializes in Trust/Estate Planning, Probate Administration and International Business with a focus in Italian and European markets. Joe, alongside his wife and partner, Gabriella, run the family firm founded by her father, Basil Russo. 

 

After graduating Benedictine, Joe attended the University of Pittsburgh where he received his degree in Italian and International Relations in 1995. In 1998, Joe attended Cleveland State Marshall College of Law, graduated in 2001 and was admitted to practice law later that year. 

 

Joe and Gabriella are the proud parents of four wonderful children, Joe, Isabella, Dante and Augie ’25. Joe is the current board President of Little Italy Redevelopment Corp. He enjoys spending time with his family, golf, travel and living life to its fullest every day. 

 

A graduate of Miami University (OH), Mr. Harry McDonald brings with him a wealth of experience as a business leader, entrepreneur, and dedicated community volunteer. He is the former co-owner of StretchTape, Inc., a family-owned converter and printer of packaging materials. He also co-owns Humongous Fan, a manufacturer of large industrial ceiling fans, and currently serves as a consultant to a variety of enterprises, helping to enhance organizational culture, streamline operations, and improve overall efficiency.

 

Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. McDonald is deeply committed to community service and philanthropy. He has volunteered with organizations such as St. Herman’s and currently serves on the finance council at St. Peter’s. His past board experience includes the Rocky River Education Foundation, the Cleveland Athletic Club, and the finance council at St. Malachi. He actively works with not-for-profits to improve inner-city medical care, food access, housing, education, and employment opportunities. Married to Deborah for 29 years, they are proud parents of four Ohio State University graduates: Emily, Olivia, Aidan, and Matthew. In his free time, Mr. McDonald enjoys rugby, traveling, cooking, history, and discovering local diners. 

 

Mr. David Corvi has spent the past 15+ years as an educational leader in some of our nation’s most underserved and disadvantaged communities. Currently, David serves as a Leadership Coach with Lynch Leadership Academy, Boston College. Prior to his role at the Lynch Leadership Academy, David served as the Regional Manager of Philadelphia Metro for Children’s Literacy Initiative (CLI), a non-profit working with pre-k through 5th grade teachers to improve early literacy instruction so children become powerful readers, writers, and thinkers. Before his time at CLI, David served five years as Principal at Forest Hill Elementary in Camden City, New Jersey. During those years, David led the school community through significant growth and development in the areas of student and staff culture, family engagement, and data-driven and standards-based instruction. Student proficiency in Math and Reading increased seven-fold during David’s time as principal.

 

As a Teach For America alum, David remains committed to the movement of educational equity in our nation and approaches his work with a culturally responsive pedagogical philosophy. During his time as a corps member, he worked as a founding teacher at Boys’ Latin of Philadelphia Charter School not only to ensure student academic growth and achievement, but also to establish school-wide procedures and policies while creating a supportive environment for positive student culture. 

 

A published author and current board member of Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, he brings both professional insight and personal passion to his advocacy work, particularly in supporting families who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss through the Charles Martin Corvi Fund, founded in memory of his son Charlie.

Mr. Corvi is an alum of The University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education where he earned a Master’s in Education. David earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from Ithaca College. He and his wife, Dr. Katherine Corvi, PsyD, are the proud parents of four boys.
