ADMISSIONS CALENDAR

DIOCESAN APPLICATIONS ARE DUE JANUARY 17, 2025

APPLICATIONS FROM CATHOLIC GRADE SCHOOLS

Students currently enrolled at a Catholic grade school, within the Diocese of Cleveland, will receive a high school application directly from the Diocese in early January. This application asks students to indicate their first-choice high school. The Diocese only forwards applications to that institution for consideration.

APPLICATIONS FROM PUBLIC AND NON-DIOCESAN PRIVATE SCHOOLS

Prospective students who do not attend a Catholic grade school should apply to Benedictine through FACTS. Families can also apply using a paper application. Complete files include the application, two teacher recommendation forms (found in the printable PDF), and transcripts from grades 6, 7, and 8.

TRANSFER APPLICANTS

Parents of current high schoolers interested in transferring to Benedictine must submit an application, two recommendation forms, and complete high school transcripts. An admission test is not required. Transfer students should contact the Office of Admission prior to applying to learn more about the transfer process.

At Benedictine High School, we take pride in our Catholic heritage and the values it instills in our educational approach. Guided by the teachings of St. Benedict, we strive to create a nurturing environment that fosters spiritual growth, academic excellence, and community service.

While we are rooted in the Catholic tradition, we warmly welcome students of all faiths and backgrounds. We believe that diversity enriches our community and enhances the learning experience for everyone. Our commitment is to respect and honor the religious beliefs and practices of each student, ensuring an atmosphere where everyone feels valued and supported.

Our diverse learning community comprises approximately 50% of students from Catholic grade schools, with the rest hailing from various backgrounds and faith traditions. Our students take theology throughout all four years, engaging in comprehensive curriculum that explores contemporary topics through the lenses of morality and justice.

Our dedicated faculty customizes education for every student, fostering not just progress but genuine growth on each academic journey. Students with IEP’s actively participate in our college-preparatory classes, receiving personalized intervention periods. When a student with an IEP inquires to Benedictine, they should send an email to admissions@cbhs.edu with their IEP and ETR, so we can notify the family if we can service their specific learnings plan.
