Marching Band Flag Line/Dance Team Coach – Benedictine High School
Benedictine High School is seeking a qualified candidate to coach the marching band’s flag line/dance team for the 2025-2026 school year.

About the Marching Band and Flag Line/Dance Team at Benedictine
The marching band includes students in grades 9-12 from both Benedictine and Beaumont School. The flag line/dance team is part of the marching band, which performs at all varsity football games, as well as a few band shows and parades throughout the school year. It is anticipated that approximately 5-10 students will perform in the flag line/dance team for the upcoming season.
Flag Line/Dance Team Coach Position
The flag line/dance team coach is responsible for creating, teaching, and cleaning flag and/or dance routines for students. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Experience performing with a flag line and/or dance team.
- Experience coaching students, ideally at the high school level.
- Ability to choreograph routines that are visually compelling and match the band music/show theme.
- Ability to break down complex movements into smaller, teachable steps.
- Leadership skills and the ability to motivate, mentor, and maintain discipline among students.
- Clear and effective communication with students, staff, and parents.
- Collaboration with the band directors, other staff, and school administration.
- Professional and organizational skills.
- Availability to lead sectionals throughout June and July (days/times TBD based on coach’s availability).
- Availability for daily sectionals (times TBD based on coach’s availability) during 2 weeks of band camp specifically during the weeks of 7/28-8/1 and 8/4-8/8.
- Availability for football games, parades, and band shows throughout the fall is preferred, but not required.
Compensation will be based upon the coach’s experience level and available time commitment.
